February Newsletter

Dear Fitness Union Community,

As we move into February, I want to share a few offerings that reflect something we have always believed at Fitness Union.

It has always been part of our mission to offer more than physical and movement training. In every strength training class, we begin with a short meditation as a way to arrive, find presence, and reconnect with our bodies. We close with a moment of gratitude as an invitation to integrate and carry the practice with us.

Wellness is holistic. Mind and body are deeply connected. In many cultures there is one word for mind body, because they were never meant to be separated.

This month at a glance: three community offerings, cohort updates, and a short note from Kim.

Our Friday community class is a fun way to connect with other members outside of your cohort. It is included as an optional offer within memberships, and I also understand not everyone can make that time. We hope to open a later Friday class eventually to make it more accessible.

From Kim

Lunar New Year begins February 17, 2026, marking the start of the Year of the Horse. Many of us have been feeling into this season as a time of change and growth, shedding what doesn’t serve and stepping into a more resilient version of ourselves.

The word I am bringing into 2026 is abundance. For me, abundance looks like financial security, supportive structures and systems that hold the business, an incredible team of qualified, caring coaches, and a schedule that allows for a slower, more mindful daily pace. It looks like a regulated nervous system that feels safe and embodied.

This is part of what is informing my own transition into leadership. By the end of March, I will be stepping away from my role as a cohort coach and personal trainer so I can focus on guiding the studio, supporting our team, and continuing to build Fitness Union as a sustainable, trauma informed neighborhood anchor.

Thank you for being part of our community. With so much gratitude,

Kim
